Position Overview
As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our operational efficiency under the guidance of the Vice President of Operations. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing various printing production facets, ensuring safety protocols, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing job scheduling. Effective communication skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the VP of Operations, collaborating closely to streamline production processes.
  • Perform QC, able to follow written processes.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities across all production departments, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to timelines.
  • Schedule all machines for three shifts per day.
  • Uphold stringent safety measures and quality control protocols to safeguard our operations and deliverables.
  • Spearhead job scheduling and planning efforts, maximizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.
  • Coordinate, track, and manage outstanding production jobs, maintaining visibility and accountability throughout the process.
  • Facilitate quality control checks to uphold our exacting quality standards and client expectations.

Background and Qualifications

  • Previous print scheduling is a must.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and a commitment to follow through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, or a willingness to learn required software.
  • Eagerness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving processes.
  • EFI Pace software experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask without compromising quality or accuracy.

Schedule

  • Full-time.
  • Second shift.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Location

  • In-person at our Troy, Michigan location.
